Injectable Dental Anesthetics from Dentsply Sirona

4% Citanest Forte DENTAL with Epinephrine 1:200,000 (prilocaine HCl and epinephrine Injection, USP)

Citanest is a long-lasting, low-toxicity, versatile anesthetic suitable for single unit crown procedures and has a vasoconstrictor allowing for a longer or extended procedure time. 

  • Duration: Approximately 2 hours for infiltration, 3 hours for nerve block
  • Citanest® Forte DENTAL is available in boxes of 50 cartridges of 1.8 ml.
  • Onset: 2 minutes

3% Polocaine DENTAL (Mepivacaine HCl Injection, USP)

  • Rapid onset
  • Doesn’t cause irritation or tissue damage
  • Onset: 30-120 seconds 
  • Duration: 20 minutes for infiltration, 40 minutes for nerve block
  • Polocaine® DENTAL is available in boxes of 50 cartridges of 1.8 ml.

2% Xylocaine DENTAL with Epinephrine 1:100,000 (lidocaine HCl and epinephrine Injection, USP)

Viewed as the gold standard local anesthetic agent, Xylocaine is free from natural rubber latex leading to reduced allergic reactions and provides rapid onset anesthesia with minimal toxicity.

  • Onset: Less than 2 minutes
  • Duration: Approximately 1 hour for infiltrations, 90 minutes for nerve blocks

Articadent DENTAL (articaine HCl and epinephrine) Injection Articaine hydrochloride 4% and epinephrine 1:100,000

Articadent offers multiple-procedure versatility in a safely potent, long-lasting, vasoconstrictive anesthetic. 

  • Available with adrenaline (epinephrine) 1:100,000 and 1:200,000 to improve visualization of the surgical field via hemostasis
  • Shorter half life
  • Latex free components for reduced allergic reactions
  • Onset: Less than 10 minutes 
  • Duration: Approximately 1 hour for infiltrations, 2 hours for nerve blocks
  • Articadent® DENTAL is available in boxes of 50 cartridges of 1.8 ml.
